November has flown by, and we now find ourselves welcoming December. This month is always a whirlwind of activities and holiday excitement.
Thank you to everyone who attended our Fall Concert for grades 3–5. Our scholars did a wonderful job singing and playing their instruments. I am especially grateful for the hard work of Mrs. Adamson, Mrs. Julka, and Mrs. Redeker. A great deal of planning and preparation goes into a concert, and their dedication truly showed.
Thank you as well to everyone who joined us for our Student Council’s Donuts with Grown-Ups event. Our student leaders continue to do great things.
December will be a busy month. We have district assessments, including ACCESS testing for our English language learners and AimsWeb testing for students in grades K–4. These assessments provide an opportunity for our scholars to demonstrate how much they have learned so far. We will continue working hard to meet our goals.
We are also looking forward to McTeacher Night on December 11 from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at the McDonald’s on Military. We hope you can stop by—proceeds from this event support our scholarship fund.
As we enter the holiday season, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for our scholars, staff, and families. Reflecting on our state report card and the progress we have made, I am grateful for the role each of you plays in moving our scholars’ learning forward. Our scholars have embraced the hard work and continue to amaze themselves each day with what they can accomplish. Our teachers and staff remain committed to creating the best learning environment, designing engaging lessons, and holding high expectations for every child. And to our families—thank you for all you do, beginning with ensuring your scholar arrives at school ready to learn.
I wish each and every one of you a wonderful winter break. We look forward to all the amazing things we will accomplish in 2026!
