As we begin our third month of the school year, I’ve been reflecting on the past two months and the wonderful progress our students have made. Our scholars are truly focusing on learning — doing their best, leveling up their work, and striving to show kindness and empathy toward one another and the adults in our school community. They are working hard to arrive on time, ready to learn, and to step into their learning zone — where they feel challenged, not bored or too comfortable.
While we still have work ahead, we’ve already made tremendous progress. I want to thank everyone who attended conferences. This time together gives teachers and families the opportunity to celebrate student successes and set goals as we move into Quarter 2. If you were unable to attend, please contact your child’s teacher to schedule a conference — we want to connect with every family.
November marks the beginning of our season of celebrations. We look forward to our 3rd–5th Grade Concert on November 6th and our Veterans Day celebration on November 11th. November is also a time for gratitude, and I am truly thankful for each and every scholar at Roberts. Each student brings joy, energy, and enthusiasm to our school — even on the hard days, I am deeply grateful.
I am also thankful for our incredible staff, who work tirelessly to design meaningful, challenging lessons that inspire students to reach new academic heights. I want to extend my gratitude to our support staff — instructional assistants, Encore teachers, office staff, and custodians — for all they do to support our students, staff, and families.
And finally, to our families — thank you. Allowing us to be part of your child’s educational journey is a privilege we value deeply.
Wishing you all a wonderful and thankful November.
