Dear Families,
I hope each of you enjoyed a restful, relaxing, and fun summer. We are so excited to begin another amazing school year together.
Our theme this year is: ‘Running Toward Success Together—Every Day is the Roadrunner Way!’ This theme reminds us that we are stronger when we work as a team, supporting one another and striving for excellence each day.
This year, we are focusing on what it means to truly become scholars. Scholars are learners who show grit, problem-solving, kindness, responsibility, and a growth mindset. These are the qualities that help our students not only succeed in school, but also in life.
Our teachers have been hard at work preparing for your return. We are committed to continuing the important work of building strong readers, writers, and mathematicians. Alongside academic growth, we will also take time to celebrate successes, recognize the accomplishment of our goals, and strengthen our sense of community as proud Roadrunners.
September will be a month focused on teaching expectations and assessing students’ current skills in literacy and math. We will also begin our monthly assemblies, with the first one scheduled for Friday, September 5, at 8:40 a.m.
Together, we will make this a year filled with learning, growth, and celebration. Let’s make it our best year yet!
