Dear Roberts Roadrunner Families,
It’s hard to believe that we’re already starting the month of February – January certainly flew by! It’s been a busy start to the year, with our scholars working hard to complete their midyear assessments. I truly appreciate their dedication and effort.
As we look ahead, Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on February 11th, 13th, and 21st. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers, celebrate their growth, and discuss goals for the remainder of the school year. We value your partnership in supporting their academic journey.
I also want to remind you about our upcoming PTO Culver’s Night this February. It's a fun and easy way to support our school, and I encourage you to get involved with the PTO. They do so much to enhance our school community and it’s also a great way to meet other families who are part of our school community.
Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to the exciting things February will bring!
Warm regards,
Cathy Prozanski
Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We’d like to remind you of our school’s attendance policy: Students are permitted up to 10 absences during the school year. Any absences beyond this limit will require a written doctor’s excuse.
Please note that if your child exceeds 10 absences without a valid doctor’s note, we are required to follow truancy protocols as outlined by school policy.
Regular attendance is key to your child’s academic success, and we encourage you to prioritize consistent participation in school. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s attendance, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for your cooperation and support!
Alissa Best-Special Education Teacher
Hello Roberts Family! My name is Alissa Best, and I am a new Special Education teacher. I’ve called Fond du Lac my home for the last 11 years alongside my husband, Nick, and our 4 daughters. Three are students here at Roberts: Madelyn (4th grade,) Ellen (3rd grade,) and Kathryn (kindergarten.) Our youngest, Claire, is in 3 year old preschool. I love to garden and go on bike rides with my family. I am so excited to be part of Roberts Elementary. Let’s finish the school year strong and have an amazing time doing so.
Karissa Jahn- First Grade Co-Teacher
Hello Roberts families! My name is Karissa Jahn. I’m a first year teacher, recently graduated from UW Oshkosh with my degree in Elementary Education. In the fall I student taught at Pier in fourth grade and I was excited to get the opportunity to stay in the district. As of January 2nd, I have had the opportunity to begin co-teaching with Mrs. Morgan in first grade. I am super excited to be a part of your wonderful community and get to know all your bright scholars!
Melissa Rahn- Reading Interventionist
I’ve been teaching for 26 years, all with 6th graders. I have a minor in English Language Arts, which has been the focus of much of my teaching, but I’ve also taught technology literacy and social studies. Over the years, I’ve worked with small intervention groups to help students build their literacy skills, which is a part of teaching I really enjoy. I’m married to Nate, who I met at Marian College. We have been married for 25 years. We have one daughter, Genevieve (we call her Evie). She is sixteen and goes to Laconia High School where my husband went. We also have a rescued golden retriever named Cookie. In my free time, I enjoy walking with Cookie, true crime, and spending time with friends and family. We enjoy traveling and being in nature. We take a yearly summer trip to Minocqua and have recently begun visiting national parks.
