This helps the office direct your return call to the correct staff member, as we are not always aware when building staff make outgoing calls. We want to ensure you are connected with the person who originally contacted you.

Note from Principal Prozanski

Dear Families,

Thank you to all of our families who joined us for conferences last month. These meetings are such a valuable opportunity to celebrate the incredible progress your scholar has made and to discuss goals for finishing the school year strong. We truly appreciate your partnership and support!

As we wrap up the third quarter, it’s exciting to see the growth our students have shown. With the end of daylight savings time and warmer days ahead, we’re looking forward to an energizing and productive spring season.

Upcoming Assessments

Our end-of-year assessments are right around the corner:

EOY AIMS assessments will take place for students in grades K–3, starting March 16.

Forward State Assessments will begin for students in grades 3–5, the week of March 16th.

To help students do their very best, we kindly ask that you schedule appointments in the afternoons whenever possible so students can be present during morning testing times. Thank you for your support in prioritizing attendance during these important assessment windows.

Bob’s Pizza Fundraiser

Our Bob’s Pizza fundraiser will come to a close on March 1st.
Pizza pick-up will be held on March 19 at Kornelli's.

March 19 is also the date of our School Dance — we’re looking forward to a fun-filled evening for our students!

School Skate Day

Before we head into Spring Break, we’ll celebrate with our School Skate Day on March 27th. More details will be shared soon — we can’t wait for this special event!

Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to your child’s success. Let’s make March a month of strong finishes and exciting beginnings!

Message from Mrs. Jones, TOSA

The Importance of Positive Attendance

At school, attendance is about much more than simply being present — it is directly connected to academic success, emotional well-being, and a child’s sense of belonging.

When students attend school consistently:

They keep up with learning.
Daily instruction builds from one lesson to the next. Even a single missed day can mean missing key concepts, guided practice, small group instruction, or collaborative learning experiences that are difficult to fully replicate.

They feel confident during assessments.
Regular attendance helps students feel prepared for classroom work and testing. When students are present for instruction and review, they approach assessments with greater confidence and less anxiety.

Their mental health benefits.
Routine and predictability are important for children. Coming to school regularly supports emotional regulation, builds resilience, and reduces stress that can come from falling behind.

They develop a sense of belonging.
Strong relationships with peers and staff are built through consistent presence. Students who attend regularly feel more connected to their classroom community, which increases engagement and motivation.

We understand that illnesses and family circumstances arise, and student well-being always comes first. At the same time, whenever your child is healthy and able, consistent attendance is one of the most powerful ways to support their growth.

Thank you for partnering with us to make every school day count!
