Note from Principal Prozanski

The days are slowly becoming brighter and a little longer, and as we move into February, our focus is firmly on new learning and continued growth.

Last month, we completed our midyear assessments, and we are thoughtfully using that information to support your scholar as they move forward in their learning journey. I am incredibly proud of the progress our scholars have made—not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. Their growth in confidence, perseverance, and relationships with others continues to shine.

We remain committed to developing our scholars into independent learners who are motivated, reflective, and focused on accomplishing their end-of-year goals. This foundation will serve them well both in and beyond the classroom.

February is also a busy and exciting month for fundraising. Our Student Council will be hosting their annual Penny War competition to support the Sandy Paws Organization, and we will kick off our Bob’s Pizza fundraiser toward the end of the month. We appreciate your continued support of these efforts, which help strengthen our school community.

Parent conferences will also take place this month. These conferences are a valuable opportunity to learn more about your scholar’s progress and to share any noticing, questions, or celebrations you may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your scholar’s teacher at any time if you have questions or need additional support.

As always, thank you for your partnership. I am looking forward to the days ahead—and to the warmer weather that we hope is just around the corner!

Message from Mrs. Jones, TOSA

At Roberts Elementary, we continue to emphasize our school wide expectations of being kind, responsible, and safe. These expectations help create a positive learning environment where all scholars can feel respected, supported, and ready to learn.

Recently, we have noticed that some students are struggling with keeping their hands and bodies to themselves and respecting others’ personal space. We are actively reinforcing expectations at school and teaching students strategies such as using their words, walking away, and asking for help when they feel frustrated or upset.

We kindly ask for your partnership at home by talking with your scholar about the importance of using their words and keeping their hands and bodies to themselves while at school. Consistent messages between home and school make a big difference in helping students build these important social skills.

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to help all scholars succeed.
